Dear Villagers and the new Italian studio Sedleo today announced 1348 Ex Voto, an interesting action-adventure set in medieval Italy. Made by a team of indie development veterans, the game is scheduled for release in early 2026.

In the game we will play the role of Aeta, a wandering young paladin traveling through Italy in the fourteenth century. Our adventure will begin following a brutal attack by bandits on our village, which will push us to set out in search of our dear friend Bianca, against the backdrop of a virulent plague that threatens to tear apart an already fragile society.

During our chivalric feat we will have to face a series of tests, clashing with crazy fanatics, ferocious brigands and mercenaries hardened by a thousand battles. Combat and exploration are at the heart of the experience, and for this reason Sedleo has collaborated with experts in the field to create a combat system inspired by the historical European martial arts (HEMA), while trying to recreate the beauty of rural Italy at the time.
