Sci-fi horror ROUTINE arrives at the end of the year, confirmed in Game Pass

Raw Fury Games and Lunar Software today showed a gameplay trailer for their sci-fi horror game ROUTINE, announcing that it will arrive in late 2025 and reconfirming its launch on Xbox Game Pass.

ROUTINE will take us to an alternate future, on an abandoned lunar base whose design is inspired by the vision of the future we had in the 80s, complete with analog technology and cathode ray tube screens. Here we will have the task of repairing a fault in the automated safety network, but once we arrive we will find it completely deserted. What was once a thriving tourist attraction is now abandoned and eerily silent, and as we begin to search for answers, we will discover that something else has arrived before us and considers us a threat.

Routine is a first-person horror experience focused on exploration, immersion, and problem-solving, and because of this, there won't be a full-fledged combat system. The best way to defend ourselves will be to run away or hide to circumvent threats or avoid them altogether. Our investigation will be aided by a multifunctional tool, the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.), which will allow us to access terminals, diagnose system problems and navigate the different environments. In emergency scenarios, the C.A.T. can be used as a last resort to defend ourselves, but we will have to make sure to keep it charged with batteries in order to use this functionality.

The developers explain that the game is designed to fully immerse players in its world, in order to create a strong atmosphere and establish its specific horror tone. For this reason, the user interface will be minimal and it will be possible to see our entire body by looking down. Great attention has also been paid to the game's audio, influenced by the lo-fi and tangible sounds of 80s technology, to make us feel like we are really there, on the lunar base.

We leave you to the video: enjoy!
