The wait is almost over: Helldivers II will arrive on Xbox on August 26, and to celebrate the event Xbox and PlayStation have announced an Xbox-themed surprise, already hinted at in the previous trailer for the game. This is the Legendary Warbond Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST, a collection of equipment that will be decidedly familiar to Xbox fans (and which will also arrive on PlayStation, marking the arrival of Xbox's flagship franchise on the Sony console).

In the world of Helldivers, the acronym ODST takes on a new meaning: "Obedient Democracy Support Troopers". This set of equipment, inspired by legendary heroes, will allow us to join the ranks of the best soldiers in the galaxy. The pack will include four weapons, two sets of armor, cloaks, and other cosmetics. Among the weapons we will find the iconic MA5C assault rifle, the silenced M7S SMG, the powerful M90A shotgun and the M6C / SOCOM pistol, which for the first time in Helldivers II will be equipped with a silencer to facilitate a stealthy approach.

The two armor sets, A-9 Helljumper and A-35 Recon, will both be equipped with the new passive bonus "Feet on the front line", which will allow us to move more quietly, make us immune to leg injuries and increase the discovery range of points of interest by 30%. The pack will be completed by two capes, ODST-themed player cards, the new "Recruit" title, and a vehicle livery in the familiar "Menace Green" color.

The developers have also introduced a new category of content, the "Legendary Warbonds". These are optional collections of rewards that can be purchased in the game's Acquisitions center that never expire, allowing us to unlock content at our own pace. The Legendary Warbond from Halo: ODST can be unlocked for 1,500 Super Credits, currency that can be found in-game or purchased separately, but cannot be obtained through the new Premium Legendary Warbond Tokens arriving on the same day.
