The launch of Dying Light: The Beast postponed to September 19

Techland today announced the postponement of the release date of the long-awaited Dying Light: The Beast. The new launch date is now set for September 19, a four-week delay designed to allow the team to further refine the game.

The Polish studio's decision comes following the publication of more than 150 previews by the press and content creators. The response was described as largely positive, with comments describing the title as a "heart-pounding survival horror" and "an absolute high". But based on the valuable feedback received from the community and industry insiders, Techland decided to take this extra time to make sure the final product is the best it can be.

The declared goal is in fact to make Dying Light: The Beast the best chapter of the saga ever made. The extra weeks will serve to polish those details that can make the difference between a good game and an excellent experience. Specifically, the work will focus on balancing the various game elements, making the user interface clearer and more intuitive, improving the quality of physical effects and optimizing cutscenes and character animations.

Despite the postponement, Techland has promised to keep us constantly updated over the summer. The presence of a playable demo at the next gamescom has been confirmed. In addition, an update dedicated to the bloodiest aspects of the game is expected as early as next week, which will also see the return of the character "Bober the Beaver". So we just have to wait for the arrival of the Beast on September 19th.
