Crimson Desert: a film dedicated to life in Pywel
If previous cutscenes had focused on narrative, combat system and exploration mechanics, this new content puts an emphasis on side activities and resource management. The game world will not only be a theater of battles, but an ecosystem full of opportunities necessary for our survival and growth. During the adventure we can, if we want, devote ourselves to fishing and hunting to get cooking ingredients, collect insects and flowers to use in alchemical processes, and devote ourselves to mining to obtain the essential materials for crafting and upgrading our equipment.
A focal point of the video is the Greymane Camp located in Hernand. This settlement, founded by the protagonist Kliff and his companions after the loss of their home due to an attack by the Black Bears faction, will serve as a base of operations that we can actively expand. Using the resources and currency obtained by exploring, we will be able to manage farms and ranches, buy supplies from vendors and send our companions on missions to recover timber and minerals, transforming the camp into a fundamental foothold for our journey.
The developers also showed customization options and interaction with the world. We will be able to modify the appearance of the characters through hairstyles, tattoos and clothes, using dyes found in the world or created through alchemy. In addition, the cities will be populated by NPCs such as blacksmiths and tailors who will react dynamically to our actions: behaving in a hostile or harmful way could make us wanted, complete with bounties on our heads.
We leave you to the video, reminding you that Crimson Desert is expected for March 19th. Enjoy the viewing!
