CoD Black Ops 7: the reveal will take place during the Opening Night Live of gamescom

Geoff Keighley today announced on social media that the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the next episode of the war series coming later this year, will take place during gamescom's Opening Night Live, on August 19 at 20:00. The famous journalist promised that the game will show itself "in style" during the show.

Although it has not been confirmed what will be specifically shown of the game, it is reasonable to expect a new trailer accompanied by a first demonstration of the gameplay of the latest installment in the FPS series.

Now part of the Xbox stable, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was first announced during the Xbox Games Showcase in June. The title stands as a direct sequel to the events narrated in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, projecting us into a dark near future.

The setting will take us to the year 2035, with the world on the brink of chaos, devastated by conflict and sophisticated psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies and leading the Black Ops team led by David Mason, we will have to repel an enemy that makes fear its main weapon.

So see you on August 19 to find out more about the title!
