Microsoft and Ninja Theory today announced that the Enhanced update for Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, which will introduce visual improvements and new features for the award-winning action-adventure, will arrive on August 12 for all owners of the game, including Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

Here are the improvements planned in this game update:

• Performance Mode – While the original edition was optimized for 30fps to ensure an immersive cinematic experience, the Enhanced update will introduce a "Performance" mode that will optimize the game for 60fps. On PC, a "Very High" preset will also be available to push the graphical fidelity even further based on the available hardware.
• Dark Rot Mode – The fearsome Dark Rot from Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice returns, offering an additional challenge for Senua in this optional game mode. Corruption will grow with each failure, and if it reaches Senua's head, her mission will be compromised and all progress will be lost.
• Enhanced Photo Mode – The Enhanced update will include an expanded and improved toolset, including a new 'Motion' tab for custom cinematic video capture.
• Developer Commentary – For fans interested in the creative process and decisions behind Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, the Enhanced update will offer over four hours of developer commentary, with speeches from several people involved in the making of the game.
