Game Science finally announced today that its action-RPG Black Myth: Wukong will arrive on Xbox on August 20th. Although the studio insists that the game had technical problems on Xbox, the launch date makes it more than evident that the absence on the Microsoft console was due to an exclusive agreement with Sony.

The game was in fact launched on PS5 on August 20, 2024, so exactly one year before the Xbox release. This also confirms what was suggested by Phil Spencer himself, to whom when asked what the problems of the game on Xbox were, he simply replied "we cannot comment on partner agreements with other platforms".

In any case, what is important is that the game is finally on the way, and with an average rating that settles at 8, it could represent a valid summer interlude while waiting for the autumn titles.
