At gamescom CI Games announced with a trailer The Lords of the Fallen, a complete reboot of the 2014 action-RPG Lords of the Fallen. The video shows the new dark fantasy setting of the game, a vast world divided between the realm of the living and that of the dead, a key feature of the game.

Set more than a thousand years after the events of the first game, The Lords of the Fallen introduces a brand new adventure into a vast and interconnected world, more than five times the size of the original game. A wide-ranging RPG experience – full of PNG missions, compelling characters and rich storytelling – in which players will have to create their own hero before embarking on the immersive single-player campaign. They'll also have the chance to invite a second player to join their adventure in a seamless online co-op – a new feature for the franchise.
