F1 Manager 2022 arrives on August 30, gameplay trailer

If your dream as an F1 fan is more to manage an entire team as a Team Principal, rather than playing the role of the driver, you are probably looking forward to the new F1 Manager 2022 manager. Frontier Developments announced today that the game will arrive on our consoles on August 30, while releasing a trailer that shows us the gameplay.

Here is the official information about the game, followed by the new trailer and a set of images.

F1 Manager 2022 offers fans an unparalleled F1® experience, capturing in detail the world of F1® and the high-tension excitement of managing a team. From the paddock to the podium, players will have to manage decisions on and off the track to ensure their success, making ends meet and satisfying both the board and the team's all-important sponsors. The team's headquarters is the beating heart of every manufacturer and in F1 Manager 2022 it is no different. Aspiring Team Principals will control every aspect of their team from their state-of-the-art headquarters. From scouting and investing in the best staff, such as race engineers and the head of aerodynamics, to developing and evaluating new components for cars, players will need to keep their pulse of the situation to make sure they are leading the way, both now and in future seasons.

With a full roster of world-renowned drivers from F1®, F2™ and F3™ to choose from, players will have the chance to enlist new drivers and assemble their dream team from an authentic pool of current and future stars. Each F1® 2022 driver has been realistically reproduced and digitally captured to faithfully reflect his driving style on the track. The skill, temperament and athleticism of a driver are essential for any team. These attributes are reflected in key performance assessments, which provide players with vital information on how to effectively manage their drivers during a race. Just like in the real world of racing, over time drivers retire from the sport, so it's crucial that players think about the future to make sure they have a steady stream of new talent to develop, if they want to secure a long-term motorsport legacy.

Before each race weekend, Team Principals will choose their allocation of tires and spare parts, as well as optional targets from sponsors to strengthen their financial position. During the test sessions, the drivers will become familiar with the track and the car, receiving feedback that will guide the car's set-up before the all-important qualifying session, in which it will be up to the player to decide when to send their car to the track and maximize the position on the grid.

The races are shown with impressive broadcast-style graphics, with a variety of onboard and trackside camera angles bringing the action to life on all twenty-two Grand Prix™ circuits. More attentive fans will also notice the familiar tones of David Croft, F1's® lead commentator at Sky Sports, and colleague and former Formula 1® driver, Karun Chandhok, who both lend their iconic voices to the game. From turning off traffic lights to the checkered flag, players can choose to control every decision on the track, from pit strategy to race drivers' controls. Players can choose to control every decision on the track, from strategy to the pits to the drivers' controls in the race, giving their drivers authentic team radio commands and using real-time data to react to dynamic race events, such as changing weather conditions, safety cars and red flags, making crucial decisions that can take them to the top step or leave them at the bottom of the group.
