Milestone announces MotoGP 22

Milestone has announced that this year it will take us virtually to the MotoGP tracks with MotoGP 22, the new chapter of the famous two-wheeled racing simulator coming on April 21st. In this edition the game will add new features such as (NOVE) The 2009 season, a mode that will see us relive one of the most incredible seasons in the history of MotoGP.

Players will enjoy a real docu-film narrated by Mark Neale, director of the best MotoGP documentaries, with over 50 minutes of original footage. But players will not only witness the story, but will also be part of it. The fate of the race will in fact be in the hands of the player thanks to dedicated challenges to relive the most iconic moments. Players will find themselves in the shoes of legendary drivers such as Rossi, Pedrosa, Stoner and Lorenzo, trying to replicate the story.

This year MotoGP 22 also adds new features dedicated to new riders who are not familiar with the series and those who simply want to improve their style and master the game mechanics, such as the Revised Tutorial and the new MotoGP Academy.

The Revised Tutorial is a series of short game sessions with custom rules, to help new players understand the basics of the game and feel confident on the bike. The new MotoGP Academy will teach how to improve and refine your riding style to be faster on each track, through specific challenges focused on electronics, tyre consumption, brake temperature and key differences between the three main categories.

In addition, the Adaptive Difficulty System will help players through pop-up messages within the game, suggesting how to adapt and modify the difficulty level according to their skills. For example, the game might recommend lowering the difficulty if players don't complete specific challenges or enabling some aids in case of too many falls, or even suggesting playing the tire consumption tutorial in case they finished a race with the tires in poor condition. These hints will appear at the end of the race and players will be free to follow them or not.

Here are the features of the game:

  • A level of realism never seen before: new face animations and improved 3D characters
  • Ride Height Device: players will be able to manually manage the locking mechanism and control the compression of the bike's suspension
  • Improved tracks: surfaces have been improved for better drivability
  • Improved suspension system: perfected for a better feeling
  • Tire and brake temperatures are now affected by the wake, both for players and for AI
  • Pneumatic deformation, a more realistic tyre behaviour that makes the experience even closer to reality

We leave you to the announcement trailer and a set of images.
