CDPR does not guarantee the arrival by the end of the year of the next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and TW3

Cyberpunk 2077 was the most anticipated and discussed game of the year 2020. Known for the bugs and problems that have plagued him since the day of release, he does not stop talking about himself. The project's Senior Vice President, Michał Nowakowski, said today that while the next-gen version of the project is still expected bythe end of the year, the company cannot be 100% certain of meeting this goal.

Here are his words about it:

"The goal is to release the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 later this year. At the same time, bearing in mind the lessons we have learned over the past year and taking into account that this project is still in development, we cannot say with full certainty that the development program will not be changed."

Similar news also for the next-gen version of The Witcher 3, although this time Nowakowski explains that the involvement of the studio is minimal, being all in the hands of Saber Interactive:

"With The Witcher 3, the situation is slightly different as in this case it is an external development house that deals with it and it is Saber Interactive, the company with which we have worked both on the Switch version of the game and on its updates.

As with Cyberpunk 2077, our goal is to release the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 by the end of 2021. However, even here, the development process is still ongoing, and we cannot be absolutely certain that the release schedule will not be changed. But for the time being, we're definitely aiming for both titles at the end of 2021 and I don't want to be more specific right now."

In short, words that leave hope for a release by the end of the year, but that in the meantime also make us notice the commitment that CD Project RED is putting into not repeating the mistakes of the past.
