Jeff Grubb: Starfield is an exclusive Xbox console, new leaks
Today comes the well-known VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb to give us a rather definitive indication: in a tweet recently published, Grubb is categorical: "Starfield is exclusive Xbox and PC. point. I can confirm that."
In the past Grubb had already expressed himself believing that the title would be an exclusive Xbox (intended as exclusive console and of the entire Xbox ecosystem, which now also embraces the PC world), but his statements had always been hypothetical: this is the first time that he shows himself so direct and safe, a sign that he has received certain information from his sources. Given this certainty, the hypothesis that the game will finally be revealed at E3, on theXbox/Bethesda stage, with a likely release by the end of the year or the beginning of 2022, is becoming increasingly solidified. And, if this exclusivity is confirmed, it could be a tangible first sign that future Bethesda titles, such as The Elder Scrolls VI,will also be Xbox exclusive.
But that's not all: in the last few hours there has also been a new leak of images from the game, all from a build of 2018,therefore very old and certainly not representative of the current state of the title, which however can offer us a taste of the type of settings that we will live in the title. Judging by these few images, the game would seem to point towards a very realistic type ofscience fiction , more in line with works such as Interstellar, The Expanse and Battlestar Galactica rather than following works such as Mass Effect, Star Wars and Star Trek in which you encounter aliens and exotic technologies are the masters. We will see if that is indeed the case: in the meantime, here are the leaked images below.
