Xbox Series X and S: November update comes with new dynamic backgrounds and more news

We inform you that the first system update since the launch of the new Xbox Series X and S has just been released by Microsoft, introducing a series of novelties (many of which have already been tested by members of the Preview program) mainly for new consoles but with something also valid for Xbox One.

The most interesting news is the introduction of new dynamic backgrounds for Xbox Series X and S that add to the "wave" one available at the launch of the new consoles: now you just have to go to the console settings, " Colorand Background" area, to choose from a range of multicolored dynamic backgrounds. More backgrounds will be added to the collection in the future.

It is now easier to recognize the backwards compatible titles that run with the new and very useful "Auto HDR" feature: when you call up Panel during a game, the "Auto HDR" label appears under the watch if this feature has been activated for the running game.

To make it easier to locate titlesoptimized for new consoles, now in the different pages of the "My Games and Apps" area, the optimized titles are marked with the "X|S" logo,so as to be easily recognizable.

November Xbox Update

Pre-install upcoming games on the Xbox Game Pass (Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One)

The possibility to pre-install the upcoming titles in the Xbox Game Pass was already present through the mobile app of the service, but now it is also available directly on the console: you just need to access the area dedicated to the Game Pass and check the upcoming titles: not everyone has the pre-installation function, but for those who have it it is a very useful function. In addition, for games that do not have pre-installation, through the Game Pass app you can now "queue" them to make them install automatically when they are available.

November Xbox Update

As always, the update will apply automatically over the next few days, or you can "force" it right away by going into the console system settings.
