After the adrenaline-pumping launch trailer we showed you a few hours ago, the very first official information about Call of Duty: Warzone,CoD's free Battle Royale, comes along, which promises to be a massive and extremely popular online experience.

Let's start with the launch time: Activision has released the following map, which reveals how in Italy we can play it (and probably download it) from 20:00 tomorrow, March 10; However, holders of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be able to enjoy a few hours of early access, being able to play from 16:00. Be prepared though for a massive download, because the single client will weigh 80-100 GB,while upgrading to Modern Warfare "only" 15-22 GB.

Environment/map

Call of Duty: Warzone takes place in the city of Verdansk,a huge map that features more than 300 points of interest and a variety of diverse landscapes to bring different types of combat to life. These include the cityscape of the centre of Verdansk complete with skyscrapers, the rural countryside of Krovnik Farmland and the indoor urban areas to be plundered.

Vehicles

The game will allow us to explore the area, fight and escape the gas circle that will shrink more and more, aboard five different types of vehicle: off-road, tactical rovers, SUVs, trucks and helicopters.

Two game modes: Battle Royale and Loot

Call of Duty: Warzone will allow us to play the toss in two different modes, characterized by very different dynamics and strategies: in Battle Royale the aim will be, as in all BR titles, to stay alive by defeating the other players as the gas circle shrinks: the last team to stay on its feet wins the match.

Loot is instead a regeneration mode where the aim is to collect the most cash around the map, eliminating opponents or completing several contracts. Here the experience is more based on exploration, and on creating strategies to complete contracts while we push back opponents: the winner is the one who reaches the first million dollars in earnings.

Battle Pass

Call of Duty: Warzone is free, but as in other titles of this type it "finances" with the sale of seasonal Battle Pass subscriptions, in this case the same as CoD: Modern Warfare: so bought the first BP for MW will already be found with different content that can be used in Warzone, such as the extra Ghost operator, in-game credits and customization skins.
