Following the announcement at The X019 last November, the western-supernatural twin-stick shooter from the British Upstream Arcade West of Dead team was first available for a short time via the Xbox Insiderapp. From today, however, it is playable again thanks to theOpen Beta,announced surprise and available for 10 days, until February 24.

West of Dead is characterized mainly by the beautiful comic graphics that makes extensive use of lights and shadows (reminiscent of the style of Mike Mignola,for fans of comics), and the twin-stick gameplay that adds a layer of tattice thanks to the use of thecovers. The game sees us act in the small town of Purgatory, in an old west dominated by wendigo, witches and other supernatural creatures: we play the dead-hearted William Mason (with the original voice of Ron Perlman), who must unleash all the power of his revolvers on the creatures that infest the city.
