Rumor: Forza Motorsport 8 will use ray tracing on Xbox Series X

In addition to the anticipation for the new and powerful Xbox Series X,fans are also eager to learn more about the titles that will accompany the new console at launch: one we already know is Halo Infinite, while another will most likely be Forza Motorsport 8,a new episode of the Turn 10 series that will have had three years of development at the end of the year.

What should we expect from the new title? One of the new features could be support for ray tracing,a feature managed directly by the new console's hardware: this is what makes us understand the description of a session that the technical director of the studio Diego Garzon will hold in March during the GDC 2020developer event.

The session will in fact deal with the use of dynamic lighting techniques through ray tracing, and Garzon will talk about how Turn 10 has"approached these challenges",thus implying that the studio is fully working in the realization of dynamic graphics in ray tracing.

If this is true, and if the game is really planned at the launch of Xbox Series X we could see one of the most jaw-dropping graphics seen so far. It will also be interesting to see how much the game will differ on Xbox One, which we know will still be supported. Let's hope something is revealed as soon as possible: stay tuned!
