A few days ago Ubisoft announced that all three titles revealed at last E3 and initially expected in the first quarter of 2020, Watch Dogs Legion, Gods & Monsters and Rainbow Six Quarantine,have been postponed to next fiscal year; Today we also discover that these titles, along with two other AAA games not yet announced, will be cross-generation,that is, they will also turn on the next generation of consoles.

The confirmation comes from CEO Yves Guillemot, who explained that the new titles will be playable on both current hardware and upcoming consoles, and also confirms that they will be optimized to take advantage of the most powerful hardware to offer better performance, improved graphics and other improvements.

In short, as with any generation change, publishers are preparing to take advantage of the new consoles, while relying on the large installed base of the current ones. We expect most of the titles to be released in 2020 that will follow this line.
