If for example you have 3 months of Gold plus 6 months of residual Pass , taking the ultimate subscription you will have a total of 10 months of ultimate; This means that the 3 months of Gold are practically trifold, while those of Pass have almost doubled. The convenience is obvious; Imagine for example that you have both the Gold and the Pass until June 2020, then 12 months each; Taking the Ultimate today you will arrive in July 2021 (12 + 12 + 1), thus obtaining a free year! The maximum reach is 36 months.

But the convenience is there even if you have only one subscription: If for example on your account you have 10 months of Gold and no pass, activating the Ultimate you will arrive to 11 months, in fact obtaining in gift 11 months of Pass that before you had not! And in all this there is also the plus of being able to use the subscription also on PC to play the many titles that are being added to the PC user.

Clarified the operation of this mechanism, another question arises: What happens if I buy or give me a Gold or Pass code? Can I redeem it?

The answer is Yes: The redeemed subscription will be recalculated on the basis of its value compared to the Ultimate, thus extending this to the number of days corresponding. For example, if you redeem 1 month of Gold, you will get a 20-day extension of Ultimate. The same applies to the Pass: if you redeem a 1 month Game Pass code, you will get a 20-day extension of Ultimate.
