Vampire The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2: Paradox introduces us to the Thinblood vampires

After last month's announcement, Paradox Interactive begins releasing the first concrete Details about Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2, a vampiric-themed first-person RPG coming next year. And specifically, developers tell us about Thinblood, second-class vampires with weaker abilities than larger full-blood clans.

In Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 We will begin our own adventure in the shoes of a thinblood, a recent and weak group of vampires in constant struggle for survival In the World of Darkness. Despite being treated as second-class citizens by the full-blood Kindred, Seattle's leadership strangely tolerates Thinblood. Although Seattle is under the control of Camarilla for a short time, it remains a city full of opportunities, where Thinbloods can become part of the higher circles of Vampire society; However, it is seldom shown the same respect or legal value enjoyed by members of the full-blood clan.

At the beginning of Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 players will have to choose between one of three Thinblood Disciplines: chiropteran, Mentalism or nebulation. These Thinblood disciplines, drawn from the RPG board game and adapted for Bloodlines 2, guarantee exceptional combat and crossing skills that can be updated during the game to improve effectiveness or add special effects.

Each Thinblood discipline has two active powers and three passive upgrades. Their progressions are explained below:

  • Chiropteran -strong affinity with bats, which allows vampires to move in the air and evoke swarms.
    • Glide -First active power. Glide greatly reduces the weight of the skeleton and the muscle mass of the vampire allowing it to float briefly, reach otherwise inaccessible areas, swoop down on NPC to shoot them down.
    • Bat Swarm -second active power. The vampire can summon a small swarm of bats to attack an NPC, temporarily staning him and inflicting low damage. This power can be boosted until a true whirl of rough wings envelops the vampire, tormenting and damaging those approaching too much.
  • Mentalism -use telekinesis to manipulate objects and disarm enemies.
    • Pull -First active power. Manipulate inanimate objects or NPC weapons, using telekinesis.
    • Levitate -second active power. It levitate a living NPC. Its strength can be enhanced by allowing the vampire to levitate everything and everyone in an area and throw the enemies hanging around like a rag doll.
  • Nebulation -Allows the vampire to evoke and manage the fog.
    • Mist Shroud -First active power. Evokes a veil of fog that surrounds the player for a short time. The fog mantle attenuates the sound of the steps and reduces the player's range of action. In addition, the player can partially turn into a cloud of fog to perform a choking attack on an NPC or travel through a narrow space, such as a fan or a ventilation duct.
    • Envelop -second active power. Creates a cloud of stationary and swirling fog that surrounds, blinds and enters the lungs of an NPC.

As well as Thinblood, each of the five full-blood clans has their own abilities, upgrades and more, offering players new ways to immerse themselves in the darkness that lurks in Seattle.

We now leave you to a trailer that introduces us to this type of vampires.
