NPD: us sales for the month of December

The u.s. market analysis agency NPD today released its usual monthly report on sales in the u.s. market last month. December was a month low outputs but very important for sales of video games and hardware in view of Christmas gifts, and once again we find no specific news on the hardware, with PS4 which confirms the bestseller followed by Xbox One.

Unfortunately this time nobody leaked hardware sales figures-as you know if you follow us constantly, NPD does not release publicly the numeric data because it sells to businesses-but it was revealed that the console market is in great shape: total sales of Xbox One and PS4 have surpassed the Xbox 360 and PS3 those made by 47% during the same period , to confirm what consumers love console gaming again despite a certain return to popularity of PC gaming in recent years.

The ranking software is dominated solely by multi-format titles, virtually all major titles released in the last few months with the addition of steels Minecraft and GTA V that continue to sell mountains of copies even far away from the exit.

We leave you the full table, remembering that the order in which lists the platforms for each game indicates where each title has sold more.
