Ubisoft confirms that there will be multiplayer in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

Now it is confirmed: there will be multiplayer in Assassin's Creed Syndicate . As stated by creative director Marc Alexis Cote, developers have wanted to bring back the series in the early days, focusing their efforts on the single player experience.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate lays its foundations on the story and offer a handful of new items, as well as important changes in terms of fighting and stealth sessions. Ubisoft Quebec decided to hone and Polish these elements, giving him precedence over co-op sessions.

Francois Pelland, executive producer, has been done to understand how there are also technical reasons behind this decision. Came out as the emphasis of the fight, combined with the hijacking of vehicles, was something that would not work in multiplayer.

"We understand, especially with the kind of fighting that we decided to use the very close melee, which served a very responsive system" explained Pelland, "and this is one thing. Another thing are on the move in the city. When two and a half years ago we decided, ok, we do London in 1868 we understood that we could not put all those means the street only for a purely aesthetic. If we had made the players would have said, I want to drive one and we would remain bad. All this added complexity, it is more than a technical reason "
