NPD: U.S. sales for the month of December
Are not available for now, unfortunately, the exact numbers, but we know that sales of Xbox and PS4 combined exceeded 65 percent more than the combined sales of the Xbox 360 and PS3 after 14 months of presence on the market of each; doing the necessary calculations, this would put the combined sales of the two consoles at about 2.33 million units. Of course " one swallow does not make spring , and Sony wants to repeat the dominance of PS4 stating that your console is still the one with the biggest sales throughout 2014.
Even Nintendo can't complain: Wii U saw in December, its best month so far, placing about 500-600,000 units during the month.
Obviously the hardware sales are also reflected on the face of software: Microsoft announces that were sold during December more Xbox games One compared to other current-gen console though, except for Super Smash Bros from Nintendo, the December software does not see the presence of any exclusive and is dominated by the "usual suspects".
