The Agency's analysis of u.s. market NPD today released its usual monthly report on sales in the u.s. market last month. It is a very important month for the American market, since November represents a large slice of the annual sales thanks to Black Friday.

And November presents us with a surprise, although already anticipated by analysts: despite having made excellent numbers, we talk about console sold 840,000, PS4 loses its primacy over 10 consecutive months giving way to Xbox One , which with 1.2 million consoles sold view as a fair price (in November the Microsoft console has been subject to deep discounts and attractive bundle) may be influential in hardware sales. Of course, the question now is whether this is sustainable for a long time: Microsoft had already announced that the discounts were only a Christmas promotion, and if the console had to return to the standard price, the situation could revert back to capsize. One possibility is that the House of Redmond decides to make permanent the price drop, forcing hands with Sony which in turn could announce a cut. The coming months will be very interesting from this point of view.

Exciting news for Nintendo, whose Wii U reaches just 220,000 units sold, a result that does not live up to expectations especially considering the release of a highly anticipated title as Super Smash Bros , which has got a great terzoposto in ranking software.

However, the console market looks in great shape, in spite of how much until last year he prophesied the fast departure: NPD informs us that, to date, cumulative sales of PS4 and Xbox One exceeds 80% of the Xbox 360 and PS3 got to 13 months after its launch.
