Phil Spencer stresses the importance of Rare to Microsoft

During a recent interview, Xbox General Manager Phil Spencer wanted to highlight that for the House of Redmond is of fundamental importance the Rare brand. Rare over the years became a studio known for a series of really fun games such as Banjo-Kazooie, Killer Instinct and Donkey Kong Country, and since its acquisition by Microsoft, the studio has worked on a handful of games like Viva Pinata and Perfect Dark Zero, while in recent years the House has been developer of Kinect Sports series.

But for Spencer, Rare should not be considered a sort of synonym for Kinect Sports; We must not forget that what has distinguished the British study has always been its diversity. Spencer has, among other things, confirmed that Rare is working on a new project which will differ from the titles currently on the market. " The software house has in mind great ideas for the future ," said Phil.  The Rare brand is valuable because the strength of the company lies in knowing how to successfully address a wide range of genres.

At this point, there remains nothing but wait what surprises have in store Rare hoping the latter manages to amaze as he did several times in the past with games really deserving.
