Major Nelson unravels some doubts on support for external disks for Xbox One

Following the announcement yesterday from Microsoft for the external storage support for Xbox One, Larry Hryb (known under the name Major Nelson ) reported today on Reddit some further clarification on the issue, in response to various concerns arising from users.

First, Larry has made it clear that Xbox One will be able to use both externally-powered HDD that those same self-powered USB 3.0 port on the console. Regarding the type of formatting required by the external HDD, moreover, Major Nelson has specified that it will be sufficient to connect the device to the Xbox One because the latter can recognize and configure accordingly for use.

Finally, in response to numerous questions regarding the maximum capacity supported by Xbox One for external HDDs, Major said that there is no maximum limit to this effect (although some rumors speak of a ceiling of 16 TB). The American Consul, in addition, be able to recognize up to two USB devices simultaneously, which can be renamed as desired by users.
