Ex-Nokia CEO Stephen Elop to Division command Devices and Microsoft Studios

It's been less than a year since Julie Larson-Green was placed in charge of the Devices and Services Division at Microsoft (the one responsible for Xbox and Surface) following the release of Don Mattrick, and here we are now at a new change: the House of Redmond announced that Green will switch to other tasks, while D & S area will be led by Stephen Elop.

Elop is the former CEO of Nokia who led passage of the Finnish giant to Windows Phone operating system and the subsequent acquisition of the entire company from Microsoft: it was previously in the running for the role of CEO Steve Ballmer's successor before the Chair was awarded to Satya Nadella.

We do not know what are the intentions of Elop driving Xbox Division, but in the past it was rumored that considers both Xbox and Bing of uncomfortable tasks for a company that was supposed to focus only on its flagship products such as operating systems and Office; We can only wait for the fruits of its leadership to find out whether he had changed his opinion on the matter.
