Microsoft announces a series of documentaries on video games and digital world exclusive to Xbox
The production of the series shall be entrusted to the Oscar winner Simon Chinn ( Searching for Sugar Man and Man on Wire-a man between the towers ) and the Emmy Award Jonathan Chinn ( 30 Days and American High ), and each episode will be filmed by a different Director and devoted to a specific theme of gaming or digital entertainment.
The first episode of the series will be dedicated to a particular topic: in 1982 Atari released E.T. video game The extra-terrestrial, which proved to be a huge flop, and then the company decided the following year to bury millions of unsold cartridges in a field near Alamogordo, a small town in New Mexico. The documentary producers have obtained the rights to dig in to resurrect the secrets hidden beneath the Earth and tell us so this unique history in the world of gaming ricollegandola even to the history of the rise and decline of Atari: the episode will be filmed by Zak Penn, already author of screenplays by X-Men 2, Avengers, The Incredible Hulk and many other films.
The series will be exclusively on Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014, in all markets where the console.
