From the latest American sales figures showed that Aliens: Colonial Marines, recent shooter developed by Gearbox for SEGA based on the famous sci-fi horror saga, finished in sixth place despite having been widely rejected by international critics. The reviews, nowadays, really matter so much to be able to get satisfactory sales numbers? Or the player trusts his instincts more than word-of-mouth, on forums or other methods deemed less biased, considering so many of unreliable? In the case of Aliens, the criticism was too harsh or the consumer has decided to go without fail knowing developers? It's just as well that explains this unexpected, or is there more?
