The financial analysis firm NPD has released sales data hardware and software of the u.s. market for the month of November 2012. It was a very important month for videogame market, and not only because it is historically that when consumers focus their Christmas shopping but also because it has seen the launch of a new console, the Nintendo Wii U. Many waited to discover what impact had the newcomer to the competition.

And data released it seems that Nintendo has failed for now to undermine the dominance of Xbox 360: the console Microsoft is indeed managed to sell almost twice as many other consoles even scoring with its 1.26 million units sold, more than I sold Nintendo with the Wii and Wii U added. Of course it should be kept in mind that the Nintendo console was launched on November 18, and then had a little time spent in stores. Sony, as in recent months, did not want to be revealed PS3 numbers but we know that should have sold between 700,000 and 800,000 units, placing then in second place.

Even Microsoft software front gets good satisfaction: while failing to overcome the giant Black Ops II (which has exceeded 7 million copies with Xbox 360 and PS3), Halo 4 ranks in second place as the only exclusive in a leaderboard dominated by multi-format titles.
