NPD: U.S. sales for the month of September

The financial analysis firm NPD has released sales data hardware and software of the u.s. market for the month of September 2012. This time it is not possible to make comparisons between platforms as Sony and Nintendo did not want to disclose the data of the respective console: Microsoft has announced that Xbox 360 continues to be, for the 21st consecutive month, the best-selling console with 270,000 units placed.

Other interesting information is that, considering games, accessories and digital downloads, Xbox 360 users spent more than PS3 and Wii combined: an excellent proof of the goodness of the business strategies of the House of Redmond.

With regard to software, as always happens at this time in the u.s. market the series Madden has sold more, followed by an excellent second place for Borderlands 2. Here are the complete rankings.
