It was one of the first two games to get into the program Game Preview from Microsoft in the summer of 2015: we told you in its first version, and has since received constant improvements and expansions, largely on the basis of user feedback. And, almost two years after the first version, is going to get the final version of The Long Dark , which make the program exit Preview.

The 1.0 version of the game is scheduled for 1 August and will contain the first two episodes of the long-awaited story mode that will accompany the already known mechanical survival with a story and characters that we will learn to know. Entitled Wintermute , the story of The Long Dark will make us live the events of the pilot Will Mackenzie and Dr Astrid after their plane crashes between the forests of Northern Canada following an unknown event geomagnetic. The two will meet again after the crash and try to survive the hostile environment, while it will also find the answers to the mysterious event that's taking place.

Obviously will remain even Survival mode that will allow us to play for hundreds of hours in a wide and varied environment, the same that buyers of the Preview release have appreciated and thoroughly tested so far, to make the final game was extremely solid and satisfying.
