Xbox One: headphone adapter will arrive in early 2014

We already knew that the Xbox One will introduce a new proprietary socket to connect the headphones with microphone, and to operate the existing serivrà headphones an adaptor . Now comes the news that this adapter will be available in the first quarter of 2014, so until that time who already has headphones for gaming has two options.

The first is accessible only by those with headphones can be connected to the console via optical cable: they will continue to connect to the console in this way, but will not for now use the microphone for voice chat. Alternatively to use the Kinect microphone to talk with their friends, and they can hear the voices of other players directly into headphones along with game audio.

The second option is the most obvious: use the headset included with the console, which serves only to chat: If you want to use it with audio headsets in optical connection, the combination of two devices may be awkward, to say the least.

It seems that there are no alternatives to the console launch: Turtle Beach has announced that its dedicated specifically to headphones Xbox One, i.e. the XO XO Four and Seven, will work with the Microsoft adapter (which will be included in the package), whereby for the arrival on the market they will have to wait for the House of Redmond for adapters produced beginning 2014.
