The Italian independent developer ONE O ONE GAMES, IN COLLABORATION WITH THE Spanish publisher Entalto Publishing, has officially announced The Alighieri Circle: Dante's Bloodline, a new first-person psychological thriller. The title, which promises to be a modern and surreal reinterpretation of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, is scheduled to be released later this year.

The plot of The Alighieri Circle: Dante's Bloodline drags us into a world where reality merges with nightmare. Every 33 years, the veil that separates our dimension from Hell thins dangerously and, to protect his family and the whole world, the protagonist Gabriele Alighieri (who we imagine is a direct descendant of Dante) is forced to perform an ancient rite. We will therefore have to accompany Gabriele on his return to his ancestral home, pushing him to accept a fate from which he has tried to escape all his life. Here we will find ourselves exploring the unknown in a dark version of Dante's work, where Hell is a shadow ready to consume everything.

The gameplay will see us engaged in the search for the "Infernal Seal": we will have to recover the magical pages of the Divine Comedy that have been lost to reunite them and complete the ritual necessary to seal the gates of Hell. During the journey, we will have to solve intricate esoteric puzzles and face a tormented psychological path, which will lead us to confront the protagonist's deepest traumas and fears.

In addition to solving puzzles, we will have to pay great attention to environmental exploration to reconstruct a fragmented truth. By sifting through the scenarios we will in fact be able to find hidden collectibles and diary pages that will allow us to recompose the tragic history of the Alighieri lineage and Gabriele's forgotten memories, thus revealing the real price charged by the Ritual.
