Sandfall Interactive, the indie studio behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has won (but not limited to) the highly coveted Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025, and to celebrate this monumental milestone and to thank the global community of fans for their unwavering support, they have just released a free update that introduces new content and surprises for fans.

The update is being released, and introduces a series of highly requested content. Among the most relevant novelties, we find a new playable environment called "Verso's Drafts", which takes the characters of Expedition 33 on an adventure that seems to come out of a storybook, with links to a young Versotag. There, we'll meet festive Gestrals, explore surprising new locations, and face off against a sinister and powerful presencetag.

The update also includes a number of other significant additions:

• An official Photo Mode, highly requested, which will allow us to pause the action to capture our favorite moments from the game's story and battlestag.

• New music tracks composed by Lorien Testard, who curated the soundtrack of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and which are now also available on digital streaming platformstag.

• Challenging boss battles inside the Endless Tower for endgame players. Defeating these powerful opponents will reward us with powerful new Pictos, costumes and equipmenttag.

• The addition of FSR 4 support, which includes AMD's temporal upscaling for sharper visuals and frame generation for smoother gameplay on compatible GPUstag.

• New Quality of Life improvements, other new features, and further optimizations to game performance on all platforms, including handheld systems like the ROG Xbox Ally.

In addition to winning the "Game of the Year", Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also took the "Best Game Direction" and "Best Narrative" awards among several others during The Game Awards 2025 ceremony, after receiving a record number of 12 nominations in total.

Since its launch in April, Expedition 33 has garnered widespread critical acclaim around the world. The title is one of the most reviewed games of 2025, has sold over 5 million units between digital and retail copies and has inspired a new generation of artists, cosplayers and fans thanks to its incredible style, immersive world and exciting turn-based combattag.
