Wizards of the Coast Announces New Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons Adventure

Wizards of the Coast and Invoke Studios today announced Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, a new third-person, single-player action-adventure. The game is currently scheduled for release in 2027, with the first gameplay details to be revealed in the summer of 2026.

Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons is set in a dark open world of dark fantasy, and will see us take on the role of Kaatri, a veteran warrior who makes a pact to wield otherworldly magic against dark powers. The protagonist is played by award-winning Tricia Helfer, known for her roles in Battlestar Galactica and Lucifer, who captured all of her movements in the game via full performance capture.

In Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, magic will be essential to face the various challenges: in exploration, each spell is a key that will allow us to unlock new paths and possibilities in a world that promises to be as fascinating as it is disturbing. In combat, on the other hand, we will be able to combine magic and melee, for an experience that promises to be tactical and visceral. As Wizards of the Coast President John Hight said, "The Warlocks wield powerful, otherworldly magic, but it always comes at a cost. Invoke has created a world that captures the dangerous wonder that is at the heart of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, where players can push the limits of Kaatri's magic and discover what lies beyond."

We leave you to the announcement trailer: enjoy!
