During The Game Awards 2025, Wizards of the Coast and the Archetype Entertainment studio returned to show the ambitious sci-fi Action RPG EXODUS, releasing a new trailer that delves into the story, the cast and the game mechanics, also setting an official launch window.

The video introduces us to the figure of Jun Aslan, the protagonist of this space epic. Although initially presented as a simple material salvager, Jun is actually the last heir to a legendary dynasty of Travelers; his genetic inheritance gives him extraordinary powers and abilities precluded to ordinary humans, making him the last hope against the relentless threat of the Celestials.

On the gameplay front, the title promises considerable freedom of action. We can decide to face the challenges by opting for a stealth approach or throwing ourselves into open combat: both paths have been designed to be rewarding and will allow us to take advantage of a vast arsenal of sci-fi weapons and exotic powers. As we progress through the adventure, we'll unlock new skills and discover unique combat synergies.

A central aspect of EXODUS will be the weight of decisions: our moral choices will shape Jun's destiny and have repercussions that will echo through generations, influencing the evolution of worlds and the plot itself. On this journey we will not be alone, but we will be joined by several companions with whom we will be able to forge deep bonds. Among these, the enigmatic figure of C.C. Orlev stands out, a guide played by Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey, here in his absolute debut in a video game.
