During the recent Unity Awards Showcase, Wishfully Studios and Thunderful offered a new look at the long-awaited Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, sequel to the acclaimed scrolling cinematic adventure. The footage allows us to take a closer look at some of the new game mechanics, confirming that the title will arrive in early 2026.

In this new adventure, greed and power have divided the tribes of Lana's homeworld. Together with his faithful companion Mui, we will have to face forces that are reshaping the world, fighting not only for survival, but for the very soul of our home. The video highlights the evolution of the gameplay: we will be able to solve a wide range of physics-based puzzles using a new ability that will allow us to hypnotize alien creatures and control robots.

The relationship with Mui will be even more central and deep; We will be able to guide the small creature with greater precision for exploration and collaborative puzzle solving. Lana will also have a new agility: to survive dynamic and breathtaking action sequences, we will have to master wall jumps, slides and faster movements. There will be no shortage of stealth phases, in which we will be called upon to carefully navigate dangerous situations using cunning to overcome enemies.

The team promises a longer and deeper sci-fi saga than the previous title, which will lead us to face Lana's inner demons and unravel the planet's darkest secrets through different settings, including new underwater chapters. Takeshi Furukawa, the composer of the first chapter, will return as a backdrop to this experience, ready to elevate every emotional moment with his music.
