Annapurna Interactive and Beethoven & Dinosaur today announced the launch date of Mixtape, a fascinating new narrative adventure with a strong focus on music. The title will be available starting May 7, with the arrival at launch directly in Xbox Game Pass.

From the creators of the critically acclaimed BAFTA award-winning The Artful Escape , this new opus draws heavily inspiration from classic coming-of-age films. In the game we will follow three high school friends during their last night of adventures together, heading towards the final party of the year. During the journey, listening to a special music playlist will trigger a series of dreamlike re-enactments of their most important memories. We will thus experience firsthand different narrative situations that will allow us to explore the crucial moments of their adolescence: from the first kisses to the last dance, exploring the inevitable ups and downs typical of that age.

The whole experience aims to mix nostalgic lightheartedness, youthful adventures and those bittersweet feelings that accompany growth, changes and the need to move forward. The soundtrack to this journey will be songs by historic artists such as Joy Division, The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
