The survival horror on the road Pacific Drive arrives surprisingly on Xbox and in the Game Pass

Ironwood Studios and Kepler Interactive today revealed a nice surprise for lovers of survival adventures: the acclaimed "road" horror game Pacific Drive is available from today on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, both Premium and Ultimate.

However, the news does not stop at the debut on the Microsoft platform: at the same time "Whispers in the Woods" was launched, the first premium expansion of the game that will see us explore a new and mysterious region with a completely new storyline, new types of road intersections, new anomalies and the possibility of experiencing the power of Artifacts, objects with effects as bizarre as they are inexplicable.

For those unfamiliar, Pacific Drive is a first-person survival game set in an Exclusion Zone in the Pacific Northwest, where anomalous phenomena have turned the area into a hostile labyrinth. Here we explore scenarios warped by radiation and electromagnetic storms, recovering valuable resources and documents left behind by evacuated scientists and residents, reconstructing what led to the collapse of the region. The experience is focused on route planning, analyzing environmental threats, choosing what to take with us and what to abandon.

The key element of the game is our station wagon, the only vehicle and mobile shelter. It must be repaired, upgraded and customized in a garage-hub, installing components made from materials found in the field. Each shipment tests the reliability of the car: damage, fuel consumption and malfunctions can compromise the return to base. A focus on the vehicle replaces traditional combat: survival comes from maintenance, preparation and driving under pressure.

We leave you with the trailer for the Whispers in the Woods expansion: enjoy!
