Project Motor Racing: details on multiplayer and new content

GIANTS Software and developer Straight4 Studios took advantage of the Tokyo Game Show to unveil new, important information about Project Motor Racing. The announcement focused on the game's approach to online competitions, which will not require additional costs, as well as presenting new car models and an iconic new circuit.

The philosophy behind the multiplayer sector of Project Motor Racing is clear and direct: "No pass. No cost. No subscription". The game will offer a complete online experience from launch day, without the need to subscribe to additional services or face complicated paywalls. The goal is to create an environment designed for those who love clean and fierce competition, eliminating any barrier to entry.

The online ecosystem promises to be rich and varied. We will have monthly championships with cross-play support, with a weekly rotation of circuits and scheduled race times. We will also be able to try our hand at two different leaderboard modes, challenge times on a real-world tour or participate in endurance events that replicate legendary races. There will be custom lobbies to organize our races by choosing cars, tracks and rules, and social races, random 15-minute events perfect for a quick game. Finally, ranked races will offer structured championships with skill-based matchmaking, divisions, and grids sorted by class, with a driver rating feeding into the matchmaking system.

The news does not stop there. During the event, six new automotive brands were unveiled to join the already large car fleet: Acura, Chevrolet, Mazda, Mercedes-AMG, Nissan and Toyota. This leads to the inclusion of seven new cars, including the iconic 1991 Mazda 787B and the modern Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R. To enrich the list of tracks comes the Sebring International Raceway, one of the oldest circuits in the United States, known for its demanding surface and its technical sectors.

We remind you that the release of Project Motor Racing is set for November 25th; We now leave you with the multiplayer reveal trailer and a set of images.
