Descenders Next arrives surprisingly in Game Pass
In fact, the game aims to become a real hub for extreme sports, which will be enriched over time with new adrenaline-pumping disciplines. To begin with, we will be able to try our hand at snowboarding, characterized by a fluid and precise action on snowy peaks, and then move on to the grittier and more technical feeling of mountainboarding. Each sport will have a different control system and physics, forcing us to learn and master each discipline to better face the tracks.
The title offers a comparable amount of content to its predecessor from launch, including a full online multiplayer sector, a wide range of tricks and grinds to perform and multiple biomes to explore. Climbing the mountain we will accumulate reputation points, which we can then spend to unlock new boards, suits, helmets, glasses and other elements to customize our athlete.
Unlike the first installment, which offered procedural tracks and separately handcrafted parks, Descenders Next combines these two elements into a more organic experience. We will face procedural off-piste mountains that connect seamlessly to parks full of details and breathtaking views. These parks will act as real playgrounds, offering new challenges and modes: sometimes we will have to whizz at full speed with our friends, other times we will have to focus on the perfection of tricks and landings. There will also be treasure hunts that will push us to explore every nook and cranny of the mountain in search of special rewards.
To top it all off we find a soundtrack curated by Monstercat, who will accompany us with his drum and bass rhythms as we speed on the slopes. Descenders Next can be purchased at a price of 28,99 Euros, but as mentioned it is also playable at no additional cost by all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. We leave you with the launch trailer; enjoy!
