DOOM: The Dark Ages - an exhibition in Rome for fans of the game

To celebrate the recent arrival of DOOM: The Dark Ages, the latest chapter in id Software's brutal saga, Bethesda has announced a special themed exhibition to be held at the GAMM Game Museum in Rome. The event will kick off with an eventful opening weekend from 4 to 6 July, while the exhibition will then remain open until 18 July.

During the visit, we'll have the opportunity to admire unique and iconic creations inspired by the game up close. These include the Slayer's Tapestry, a unique object inspired by the famous medieval Bayeux tapestry and depicting the game's protagonists, and an impressive replica of the Slayer's Shield. The latter, made by Artidex Studio, includes a rotating blade mechanism like the one seen in the game and boasts remarkable dimensions: 1.1 x 2.6 meters for a total weight of 300 kg. A perfect replica of the Scourge, the weapon that the Slayer uses to mow down hordes of demons, will also be on display.

The opening weekend, from 4 to 6 July, will be particularly intense for enthusiasts. In fact, themed conferences are planned and, above all, we will have the opportunity to play DOOM: The Dark Ages on Xbox workstations. For the entire duration of the exhibition, visitors will also be able to test themselves with a quiz on the history of the video game available on the totems inside the museum.
