Square Enix brings Final Fantasy Tactics back to our consoles
This enhanced version will take us back to the kingdom of Ivalice, a medieval world torn apart by political conflicts, where we will follow the dramatic story of ambition, betrayal and honor of the young nobleman Ramza Beoulve, whose crucial role in historical events has long remained hidden. The narrative will come to life thanks to an updated and enriched script, with fully voiced dialogue in both English and Japanese, and improved graphics designed to offer a new level of immersion and playability on the battlefield.
Among the novelties of this re-release we will find several general improvements to the game system, such as new difficulty levels, a renewed user interface, the autosave function and other elements designed to make the game more accessible even to those approaching this masterpiece for the first time. The heart of the game will remain the thrilling turn-based strategic combat, accompanied by an elaborate character development system that promises to make every battle exciting and full of twists and turns. We will be able to test our tactical acumen against numerous enemies, taking advantage of the different types of terrain, the characteristics of the characters and the wide customization possibilities.
The title will include two distinct versions: Enhanced and Classic. The Enhanced version will offer all modern updates and improvements to the game system, including voiced dialogue, revamped graphics and interface, as well as new features such as the ability to confirm turn order with a single button, examine the battlefield from afar with Tactical View, speed up fights, Adjust the difficulty and save automatically. The Classic version, on the other hand, will be a faithful recreation of the original 1997 FINAL FANTASY TACTICS , including the acclaimed translation of War of the Lions, for all fans eager to relive the original experience.
We will have a customizable profession system with over 20 classes, including black mage, dragon knight, geomancer, summoner, time mage and thief, with more than 300 skills to create countless strategic combinations for our group.
SQUARE ENIX also revealed that behind Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is the legendary original development team, which includes names such as Kazutoyo Maehiro (Director), Hiroshi Minagawa (Art Director) and Yasumi Matsuno (Original Script, Scenario Writer and Editor).
