The Sinking City 2 reveals gameplay in trailer and lengthy demo
The studio has released a first gameplay trailer that shows us combat, exploration and investigation (this time more secondary and optional than the other elements), accompanied by a longer demonstration in which these elements are deepened and the developers also tell us about the difficulties they had in developing the game with the constant danger of losing their lives or those of their loved ones due to Russian bombing.
Those who want to help finance the development of the game can do so through the appropriate Kickstarter; We leave you below some information about the game and the two new videos. Enjoy the viewing!
"After 3 years of this horrible war looming over our daily lives, we have learned to adapt, even if it has never been easy. In 2023, when we released Sherlock Holmes The Awakened with the help of Kickstarter and our loyal fans, we built a safety net that saved us more than once. From power outages, to the need to relocate team members on short notice, to the need to pause development for days, this safety net has been critical. Since The Sinking City 2 is a much more complex and challenging game, we decided to follow the same path as before." - Wael Amr, CEO of Frogwares
"When we announced The Sinking City 2 in 2024, we stated that this would be our chance to move our studio towards creating more 'horror first' games, and the results we are seeing internally are extremely promising. We're not completely abandoning our investigative roots, but the ability to expand and challenge our characteristics has really helped the team grow. We put combat and exploration first, while maintaining an air of investigation that adds depth, but is entirely optional." - Sergiy Oganesyan, Publishing Director, Frogwares
