Bethesda today announced when we can finally play Tango Gameworks' supernatural action-adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass: April 12. The game will arrive on our consoles at the same time as the release of the Spider's Thread update, which will introduce a new game mode , new areas to explore, extended cutscenes for the story, significant improvements and more.

Here are the official details on the update, followed by a new trailer and a set of images.

New game mode The Spider's Thread

In addition to the main game, The Spider's Thread mode requires players to tackle a path of 30 stages selected from over 120 levels and a simple goal: to get to the end. As players overcome challenges and complete stages, they will unlock more skills and earn in-game currency to spend on power-ups.

Explore new areas and delve into history

The Spider's Thread update adds new places to visit on the streets of a ghost-infested supernatural Tokyo, including the local middle school area. These new locations are accompanied by new missions that players can take on to uncover more mysteries. The main game's story will also be enhanced by longer cutscenes, allowing players to take a deeper look at the plot during Akito and KK's adventure to prevent the menacing Hannya from destroying Tokyo.

Face new enemies with new abilities

In the Spider's Thread update, dangerous new Visitors arrive in Tokyo, such as the invisible Silent Look or the elusive Scourge. To defeat these new enemies, Akito will receive new abilities, including elemental charge and devastating counterattack.
