Sony has announced the new annual iteration of its popular American baseball franchise, now become multiplatform: MLB The Show 23 will arrive on March 28 and, as with previous editions, will be available in Game Pass at launch.

The announcement revealed this year's cover athlete: Miami Marlins Jazz star Chisholm Jr. Jazz grew up in Nassau, Bahamas, playing baseball on the pitch with friends. As Jazz says, "no referees, no receivers; Just bombs and fun, we played to play." He never thought that a guy like him, from the Bahamas, would make it to The Show, let alone end up on the cover.
