Dead Space: a long demonstration of the game reveals new details about the title

EA Motive has released today a new and long footage of the gameplay of Dead Space, in which senior producer Philippe Ducharme takes us through the first environments of the game revealing some key features. The movie shows us the new zero-gravity areas, which allow us to explore the vast open environments where there will be threats from necromorphs.

This new system means that trains will no longer be the only way to move between levels, since we can float between the structures of the base without any loading. There will also be several secondary areas that we can explore to find items and collectibles. In addition, some doors will be open only after obtaining certain weapons or tools, encouraging the re-exploration of the areas of Ishimura.

The game will also try to maintain a good balance between scripted scenes and dynamic encounters with enemies, managed by the new "intensity director", a system designed to always keep the tension high with a high unpredictability of each encounter.

Another novelty of the game is that this time Isaac will be very talkative, he will talk during all the moments of the adventure making everything more engaging. The necromorphs will also have more "personalities", as they will be more varied in their design to show the differences between the different crew members of the station.

Finally, the video also shows us a parallel between the scenes of the original game and those of the remake, so as to further highlight the great graphic leap made. Here it is below!
