During gamescom Rare announced that the September update of Sea of Thieves will finally introduce dogs as pets, which will be added to the already present cats, parrots and monkeys. But that's not all: during the event the English studio made it clear that it has no intention of stopping support for the game and that, indeed, 2021 will be the most important year seen so far for the title.

Producer Joe Neate explained that the studio has "big plans" for the future and that next year will be the biggest seen so far, with big surprises coming up.

It is now well known how Sea of Thieves proved a huge success for Rare and Microsoft, with the reach of 15 million players earlier this year; the fact that they continue to make great projects confirms this and is definitely great news for all fans of the game!
