CoD: Modern Warfare will have no loot box, announced the Battle Pass system

A week after the game's launch, Activision and Infinity Ward have finally revealed plans for post-launch monetization of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and seem to have treasured past mistakes, both their own and other publishers.

The biggest news is that all post-launch maps will be released for free, rather than being sold as individual downloads or part of a Season Pass; This will ensure that all players can compete on the same maps, at no extra expense. In addition, all maps will arrive simultaneously on all platforms in the game, so as not to create differences for players who use cross-play to play with players from other platforms.

But there are also novelties on the loot box front, a mechanism to obtain in-game content that is highly contested and sometimes associated with gambling because of its randomness component; Well, the team is keen to make it clear that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will never have loot boxes, not long after launch. In addition there will be an in-game store that will allow the purchase only of cosmetic items.

Finally, a Battle Passsystem has been announced, special passes that will be purchased at the beginning of each new Season of the game and that will give access to a number of new content; Even so, however, Battle Passes will only allow us to potentially access new weapons and equipment released during that Season, but the only way to get them will be to unlock them by playing. There is no real currency purchase of weapons and other elements that can change the balance of the game.

In short, it seems that with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Activision is determined to carry out an operation to radically change the image of the company and show itself very player-friendly; When the game comes out, we'll find out if that's the case!
